Give Your Family a Health Makeover - Small Changes That Make a Big Difference

The good news is this:. If we can manage to make small changes in our daily routines, we will be able to make big changes in our family, overall health and well-being over time

Here are a few small changes to consider:

1 How is your family does not drink sodas in an average week? See if you can replace one or two of these juices with sparkling water. Gradually, your child may develop a taste for it, and you'll save those empty calories of sugar.

2 How much water to drink all? Encourage each member of your family to drink more water, making it more palatable and accessible. Keep a pitcher of filtered water in the refrigerator, for example, with slices of fresh lemon.

3 How many fruits and vegetables are not all consumed? If your family usually gets hungry (for us, it's usually about an hour before dinner), fresh off a plate of raw vegetables for a snack.

4 Make a point to have meals together (no TV in the background ). Ask everyone to make efforts not to rush though breakfast and dinner, but to slow down and focus on the taste of food and joy to be together to discuss the day the event.

5 Find a board game that everyone loves to work together and to replace at least one hour a week with the TV games. Scrabble, Pictionary and skull are especially good family game that will keep you thinking and laughing.

6 Consider starting or joining a new sports and recreation center as a family. This will give you some fun time together and get you motivated to move at the same time.

Remember, baby steps are important. If you continue to take small steps to improve the health and well being of your family, you'll start seeing big changes in no time.

As a parent, you can do a lot to their children form good habits that will last a lifetime through.
