Top Office Health Tips


You've spent the last 4 hours of sitting at your desk staring at a spreadsheet and rushing to meet a short deadline. You have forgotten the morning break, or even travel through the water cooler to grab a drink. You do not have a half-drank coffee on the table, but can not remember what it was just assumed that since last night, when you're working late. Although you love to drink, you are not yet that desperate. Ok, so this May be a bit extreme, but it was not to sound familiar?

If you work in an office chances are you've at some point you find yourself feeling exhausted and tired, even though all you've done all day is sit on your desk. Here you will find some great tips to help you stay awake and working at maximum capacity.

drinking water - You might think this a bit, but apparently drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated helps keep your brain active and renews the skin. This is a common misconception to think that you are hungry when you're actually thirsty. Try to drink 4-6 glasses of water each day and drink a glass or bottle on the table that you can sip on a regular basis.

Take Stoll - arms and legs to help pump blood through the body which in turn helps you stay alert and awake feeling. If you walk around the office every hour or so, or even do some gentle stretching exercises to help keep the blood flowing.

fresh air - edit can be hot and stuffy places as they are full of lights, computers, servers, printers and people of all discharge of heat. This environment does not lead happy and productive worker, and you can become tired and lethargic. If possible, keep the window open to circulate air in the office and try to have a lot of green leafy plants to slash carbon dioxide emissions. Finally, make sure you leave your desk for lunch, go out and suck in a few large lung full of lovely fresh air!

Laughter is the best medicine - Now this could be a place on the first page of 'old wives tales', but there are a lot of research or study that shows a lady laugh every now and again is good at reducing stress, which in turn makes for more productive osoba.Ured policy that allows even a funny e-mail will be sent around can be a good thing if it puts a smile on people's faces when they're having a tough day.

Are you sitting comfortably - I do not? Why not? You can spend more time sitting in your office chair than you do on any other piece of furniture so it's very important to ensure that it is comfortable and provides the necessary support needed based on your height, weight and type of work.
